Help with Sleep
#1
Im desperate to sleep.

I wake up every night around four am and have trouble falling back asleep.

This all started with a traumatic incident years ago.

I've tried everything and nothing has helped for many years. I'm on twenty five mcg of cynomel a day in addition to the standard ray peat foods. My pulse and temps are good a lot of the time, yet I still can't sleep.

I'm going to try ketamine as I read it can help overcome trauma stored in the body.

Insomnia, Suicide and the Redemptive Power of Ketamine

What do you think?

I have no idea how to get co2. It's very easy to get ketamine.

My diet is egg yolks, 92 degree coconut oil, shrimp, ultra pasteurized milk, orange juice concentrate, occasional coffe with cream, white sugar.

It's about 50 percent carbs and 25 protein and fat.

I have cynoplus and I might add a quarter of a tablet a day.

Thyroid doesn't seem to have any effect on me in terms of restoring my sleep.

I'm also taking about 600 mg of penicillin each day and some cascara.

Thanks I'll check it out.

I have also noticed that when I masturbate everything gets much worse, although it's hard not to especially when I get an adrenaline surge.

The cynomel is old.

The concentrate is a new thing for me. I was doing just white sugar before as the fresh oranges here are not ripe.

High dose penicillin is a new experiment.

Does anyone know where to get co2? I called a welding shop, but nervous about what I tell them I need it for?

I get it at a place that supplies bars and restaurants with carbonation for soda and beer.

This is an example:

I also get it at a place that supplies paintball canisters, which use carbon dioxide for the pressure to fire the paintball.

This is an example:

But I don't get into the details of what I need it for.

Okay thanks. Where do you get the aquarium regulator? Is there anything I should lookout for with the regulator?

As long as it works well for an aquarium it should be fine. You just need the ability to regulate a very fine stream of CO2 bubbles, as you would in an aquarium.

I use this one:

If you're using a paintball canister, you'll need an adaptor.

Orgasm increases histamine and histamine increases wakefulness.
I have read some people claiming to have better sleep and digestion
after abstaining from orgasm.

Are you eating shrimp regularly? Most shrimps are high in histamine
unless it is very fresh. You may experiment by skipping shrimp for few days.
Are you eating carrot salad or cooked bamboo shoots or cooked mushroom
to reduce endotoxin, which causes sleep problem.

You also need to take vitamin K with antibiotic use.
Did you introduce new foods one by one? A lot of people have
problem with milk and OJ. I added one food at a time and noticed
how body react to new food and decided on that if i should continue
to eat that food or not. Egg yolk causes mild stomach problem for me.
Did you introduce milk slowly as RP suggests?

Ketamine has one chlorine atom attached to carbon, which
RP mentioned in an email response that this kind of molecule
causes liver damage. I do not know how much chlorine is present
in prescribed ketamine dose.

If histamine is the main problem then cyproheptadine or
benadryl can be used. I have noticed a major improvement in health
using half to 1 mg of cypro once or twice a day.
It is also helpful to avoid large amount of protein after sunset.

Yes, it's really ridiculous how unripe some of the oranges sold commercially are.

For what it's worth, I've tried only eating milk and sugar, and milk and concentrate1, but I found that both tended to make me feel slightly off, or in the case of sugar, having to eat at least 500g a day. It was really rather odd - I was hesitant to eat starch instead of table sugar, due to Volkheimer's research and general concerns about endotoxin, but I decided to experiment regardless and found surprisingly that the potato varieties that became very soft(2) after boiling for an hour (russets for example) digested remarkably well. I think they were mainly useful because of their nutrient profile, and could probably be replaced with the (bi)carbonates of the electrolytes, but that can get a bit expensive, and you would be missing the keto-acids, b-vitamins, et cetera. Trying to eat other starch back then would absolutely make me get digestive issues, though.
I'm lucky to have access to ripe oranges nowadays, which really can't compare with potatoes, but I do revert to potatoes when I'm in places where there aren't any oranges or good cola - (or just starch if I'm in some absolutely remote mountain; but that's because my digestion is far stronger now)

And of course, your own personal experience is really the most important, regardless of what some idiot on a forum has tried.

Here's Ray on concentrate;

"KIM GREENHOUSE: Are you talking about juiced - orange juice -or are you talking about a concentrate? RAY PEAT: Well, I always recommended the frozen concentrate until several years ago, a lot of people started having bad reactions to it and I got asthma from most of the types and so I started using only sweet freshly squeezed oranges. " - and
"Until 2006 I was using mostly frozen pulp-free concentrate, then they introduced the enzyme process (for disposing of waste fiber, making it stay suspended in the juice), affecting even the 'pulp-free' type. So now I use only sweet oranges that I squeeze myself. US people don't realize how ridiculously degraded their standard of living has become. Nutrition is political economical. The governments tell people to eat beans and bread for a reason. I use coca cola as a fill-in when I can't get oranges" -
Also, probably worth adding him on table sugar;
"fined granulated sugar is extremely pure, but it lacks all of the essential nutrients, so it should be considered as a temporary therapeutic material, or as an occasional substitute when good fruit isn't available, or when available honey is allergenic."

2 There's supposedly a difference between waxy and floury potatoes, but I have no idea what either of those mean, and they seem to be used interchangeably.
